Vacancy Background: 
The Documentation Unit (DU) is a resource and documentation center including searchable and centralized database containing a serialized index of ICMP documents and third-party publications. In addition the DU is charged with ensuring document consistency and quality control at ICMP. 

Under the direct supervision of the Head of Documentation Unit and overall supervision of the Director of Policy and Cooperation, the incumbent is responsible for, but not necessarily limited to, the following assigned duties: 

Duties: 

  • Arranging acquisition and retrieval of records; 
  • Cataloguing collections and managing information and records; 
  • Responding to enquiries from ICMP staff members; 
  • Formatting, standardizing and ensuring publishing quality of documents produced in-house; 
  • Upon supervisors request conducting research activities based on archival materials; 
  • Monitor new publications related to missing persons issue including journals, scientific papers, etc.; 
  • Assisting the supervisor in his/hers duties. 

Qualifications/Requirements: 

  •  First university degree or equivalent; 
  •  Experience in same or similar duties; 
  •  Very good command of written and oral English, B/C/S an asset; 
  •  Excellent computer skills: MS Office Suite; 
  •  Organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills; 
  •  Detail and service-oriented attitude; 
  •  Ability to work well with others but also independently; 
  •  Is able to work on own initiative with minimal supervision required; 
  •  Is deadline-driven.
